You cant really say anyone is winning, neither is on the streets yet and what people say they will do online rarely transfers to the real world. The marketting that comes with the consoles around the holidays could change everything.
The 360 was on the market over 12months before the PS3 is some regions and they haven't ended up with any significant sales lead so anything can happen.

Have they changed the way steam works now and you can sell your games on to someone from it??? Once you have installed the game on your PC with the CD key its linked to your account and as far as I am aware you cant sell it on?

Of course not, well not to my knowledge but my point is, Steam is simple to use, its also cheap and it doesn't have any new restrictions all of a sudden. People dont expect to sell their downloaded games, so thats a bit of a moot point with steam compared to consoles. People who use steam know what they are getting and are used to it and its taken the world of PC gaming a step further making buying and playing games a simpler process, exactly what it should be and exactly what MS and to a lesser extent Sony are fucking up in their attempts to nail the s/h market in the least obvious way.

how many people would stop using Steam if valve or whoever runs it can turn of your game collection when they see fit?

Amazon can remove books from your Kindle if they no longer have the rights to sell them even though you have purchased them. I am sure I heard (need to confirm) Steam can also take away games for the same reason?

I didn't give a funk at first, but with all the M$ haters (sat behind their PC's running Windows), I will possibly buy a One now.

I bought a PS3 and a 360. The PS3 lasted a week before I was bored with it and flogged it. The 360 had a much longer life span.

Looks like they've extended their sales lead since that article too.

Based purely on what I've seen so far and not on any assumptions, guesses, Mystic Meg type foresight or childish 'allegiances' to previous consoles, I'd say I'd go for the PS4 right now. Could be a different story come launch day or whenever I choose to buy a next gen console. But right at this moment, Sony would get my cash.
