Info First look at the PS4 interface

Not sure about this - it looks like a messy jumble kinda like the Metro interface on Win8.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=7s32Q7MxvH0

Can't see the video sharing being that big a deal either. I don't really want to watch other people play games and I have YouTube that has reviews if I want to find out what a game is like but I do like the option to download from them.

Can see kids using it though to share how they get past complex parts of games etc.

Question... It focuses a bit on the 'Share Button'.

How do you share without connecting the Internet?

Just turn your XBox One on, connect that to the internet and point Kinect at your TV. Then you can let the NSA watch what games your playing

They must be using the same technology that lets you watch Live TV on Xbox One while it's disconnected from the internet...

Gotta say I do like that new interface. It seems like a cross between Windows 8 Metro and Xbox 360 lol

    Defo better than the PS3.

I thought you plugged your sky box into the Xbox one via an HDMI input, therefor Xbox doesn't need to be connected to internet as getting sky signal via satellite?

Think he is referring to the 'features' you get by putting the TV through it (Live stats etc).

That's only available in the U.S. The only way you can get live TV in the UK will be via iPlayer, Sky Player etc...

"Dude I dont got that" is certain to go viral, what a fucking annoying prick. The system does look very smooth though and while the speed of his downloading is massively unrealistic, it certainly looks like it fits in with today's gamers.

No you can plug anything into the HDMI input, Sky TV, Freeview box, Xbox 360 even a PS4. It's just a throughput for your existing TV box.

edit - sorry Mr James, looks like you're right: http://www.vg247.com/2013/05/21/xbox...parate-device/

I am also unsure on this as I believe Sky boxes have a protection to stop them going through a secondary device, as I say this is what I believe not something I am at all sure of but I know the Playstation 3 has some sort of protection of this kind due to it not being able to go through a device I use for a hdmi pass through which works fine on the Xbox 360 but not on the Playstation 3. I heard Major (prick) Nelson say in an interview that the UK have Sky and would be able to use that with the Kinect system but as Mr James say's it may well be via an app system rather than a feed through.

Ahh I was going from one of the Major Nelson's interviews that he said you can put anything into the HDMI input, i just assumed it was a simple throughput. Sorry mr James

    Just saw this anyway: http://www.vg247.com/2013/05/21/xbox...parate-device/

Nope - I run my Sky HDMI to my Onkyo amp and then onto my TV without a problem.

What will be more important is if a Sky box uses CEC that the XBox can control! If not then it will not be able to change channels. I know my DM800 does as does my Raspberry Pi - So I can see my Pi being using through my XBox One so I essentially get XBMC on it haha win/win

Will have to wait and see I guess. Maybe basic control will be offered over CEC for unsupported devices (up, down, select etc) but as nothing has been formally announced about How much integration there is I think it is all hypothetical until closer to the release date. When review consoles get out there we will know more probably still lots of NDAs out there right now stopping the people in the know from talking.
