Plex on HP microserver

Hi
both myself and Andy bought the Microserver (HP 54) on the recent offer to run as Plex servers, but we are a pair on newbie lamers.
I put windows home server 2011 on mine and Plex works fine but I cannot access it when not at home and also my friends that I invited cannot connect (port forwarding done on sly home hub).

Andy's one has same issue (his is an UNRAID setup) also his one wont play music files???
any pointers appreciated.

Do you have static IP / DynDNS setup for external access? I have only setup Plex once for a mate on a ReadyNAS as I use XBMC.

Have you unblocked it in the firewall on homeserver? Can't really help with unraid as never used it.

it has static IP locally and i have a homeserver.com addy that came with the win home server 2011, thanks for the reply.

Sky hub has port 80 blocked by default. Doesn't show in any of the settings/pages but trust me they've blocked port 80 inbound.

I'm sure last time I checked that the two I have here wouldn't port forward port 80 and I read of other people moaning of the same thing.
