I'm sure it should work, if it doesn't let me know and I'll connect into work and check my outlook migration xmls in case there are any registry settings that need to come across too

Best mounting program for me is daemon tools. You should check out photoscape for photo editing from ninite.com. Another great program I recommend is avast for security.sign up with them and you get a free year trail.
All the best.

What anti virus software are you guys using? I don't think MSE is cutting it e.g. no email scanning etc. What firewalls do you use?

Some other handy tools:
Winrar (better equivalent of winzip)
Daemon tools lite (mount ISO's)
Comodo antivirus (instead of MSE)
Classic shell (editable startmenu)
And another tip. Use msconfig to disable unnecessary startup programs (and services if you know what you are doing).
I use kaspersky. Tried em all inc the free ones.
Depending on your setup it is best to just have a vanilla OS and then run a VM on it. Create a base image of the OS you want including your apps and away you go. No need to reformat the machine. If you want you could have different VM's for different uses. It is far cleaner doing it this way IMHO
