Lmao. Think I missed it too... Seems that some board members don't like it when you mention friends outside of the internet?

I'm curious as to why people object to me identifying the 'source' of the information? I've seen plenty of other threads in which people immediately call bullshit unless some form of internet link is provided. At least this way round they know people can tell upfront that it's the view of a person and not a professional study of some sort, an opinion that's not necessarily the same as my own, something that I cannot vouch the authenticity of, something which could be classed as hearsay...

As to the competition, I'd give it to 909. Simply coz he's the only person that's suggested that some of these 'mates' may actually be the same person.

But in the long run you're all winners, as I'm sure you'll all be ecstatic to hear this, but I'm off on a lads weekend in the next couple of weeks and I'm bound to come back with a boat load more 'me mate Dave' stories for you to all enjoy

I've done it myself on a number of occasions. By giving an example of what happened to a friend it shows that you are talking from experience, or the experience of a friend at least, on the subject in question.

Maybe the problem is that 4me2 doesn't have any friends in the real world himself. Shut up in his little room surrounded by his computers and gadgets, having an anxiety attack everytime the doorbell goes or the phone rings I have a friend that is like that these days, so I am taking from personal experience on this, or at least the experience of a friend (">

to be fair I have a mate who is a fucking nutter and he does have a fucking list a mile long of stupid, unbelievable shit he has done, some of those things are not something you would personally boast about and some of them would put him in deep water legally.
I guess it depends on how well you need to know someone before you quote them as a mate too.
