Party tomorrow. Need help with Music/Video in sync over 2 PC's.

Media Server on Network with shared media, available everywhere.
In my living room = XBMCBuntu running via HDMI. (VGA/Audio out available).
In my Garden = Laptop, VGA Projector, Mini Amp and Speakers.

Willing to install any other OS where necessary.

I want to play music and the visualisations at exactly the same time as on my TV/Main AMP in the living room to my Laptop running Windows 7 in the garden.
I have a 10m VGA cable, but the Laptop is going to live at least 30m's away, next to the Projector that's going to put the visualisations on the side of my house!


I'm guessing I'll need some sort of Server/Client setup in order to do it at exactly the same time, but it's not going to well at the moment. Can use Wireless or LAN as I have a Cat5 cable long enough...

Obviously, TeamViewer/VNC is not an option as there is a few seconds delay and the systems are close enough that you'd notice.

Any pointers/software/recommendations lads?

BTW, I'm clueless about Airplay too... can that do it?!

AirPlay would do it easily. Have it set up on all your devices, or iTunes server from your NAS with home sharing.

You mean Airplay will play the track from the server and literally stream it direct to the Laptop in the garden, completely in-sync with the PC in the living room?

I'm new to Airplay and need a few pointers on exactly what I need to do... I can't even find it in iTunes - see novice!

With AirPlay you need airplay devices. So for example I have my NAS streaming from iTunes server and can play simultaneously on multiple devices
1. MacBook or laptop (whichever is running itunes)
2. AppleTV for video output
3. Bowers and Wilkins dock connected with airport express.
