Default Windows 8 and nas issues

Hi guys, currently running windows 8, main system drive is 120gb ssd, i've got a 320gb buffalo linkstation connected as a mapped network drive, most of the time the nas is showing the attributes of c: -the main system drive - I have to either disconnect and map the drive again, or if this doesn't work I have to reboot until it displays correctly. On other devices and windows 7 and xp I dont have a problem. Anyone any ideas other than going back to windows 7.

    TIA

Linux? Windows 8 is shit (I'm a MSCE too!). It has so many holes your better off on 7 til the holes are filled.
