There's a lot of anticipation behind The Evil Within, but so far all we've really seen are some screenshots and a live action trailer. Now it appears some gameplay footage has been leaked into the wild - although you might want to get on it quickly before someone realises that it's escaped. The shakycam footage comes from those cheeky scamps at All Games Beta who have somewhat of a reputation for this sort of leaking, and though it's very short -clocking in at less than a minute - it confirms that the game certainly appears to take a few cues from Shinji Makami's similarly horror themed opus Resident Evil 4.
A quick warning if you're a bit squeamish that this video does show a fairly graphic virtual decapitation via chainsaw, which garners a slightly worrying reaction from the audience. If you're OK with that, feel free to take a look at the video below:
My, that does look familiar doesn't it? The Evil Within is set for release for the 360 and Xbox One next year - we've got some more gory details on the game and an interview with Mikami himself in our latest issue of the magazine, available now.
