ebay Selling new Apple Products on eBay

Never noticed this before. I have not and will never buy any on the off chance I might make some cash, far too many scammers (buyers) on eBay for this type of product.

However, unless this has always been the case, these are the apparent rules - Interesting that us plebs can only list 1 item per week? Have Apple turned the screw on eBay ? They will lose out on a lot of revenue:

***How to list upcoming Apple products successfully to meet buyer demand ***

    Hello,

The launch of the latest highly-anticipated Apple products is just around the corner. Follow these guidelines to help meet buyer demand and deliver excellent customer service.

Listing the latest Apple products as pre-sales
Sellers in full compliance with eBay’s Presale policy will be allowed to list the latest Apple products on eBay, 30 days prior to the launch date.

    Also:

Apple-authorised resellers may list up to 25 items per week.
eBay Top-rated sellers may list up to 4 items per week.
Sellers meeting our minimum performance standards may list 1 item per week.
Listing the latest Apple products after the launch
Once the latest Apple products are made available to the public, most sellers will be allowed to list them with some limitations:

Apple-authorised resellers may list an unlimited number of items per week.
eBay Top-rated sellers may list up to 8 items per week.
Sellers meeting our minimum performance standards may list 4 items per week.
Sellers who’ve confirmed their personal information may list 1 item per week.
Sellers not meeting our minimum performance standards or that haven’t confirmed their personal information, will not be allowed to list the latest Apple products during the pre-sale or post-launch sales period.

Apple-related domain name and email address sales
Sellers offering Apple-related domain names or email addresses for sale on eBay, both pre- and post-launch, will be allowed up to 4 listings—which must be in the Businesses & Websites for Sale category—per week.

Another example of Apple throwing their weight around. I'm sure Samsung and HTC couldn't give a flying fuck if you make a quick buck on their products, they've already got the retail for it so why do Apple care so much?

Did anyone actually read this? And use some common sense? As the op says far too many scammers about for this type of product, probably just be eBay trying to stop scammers.
