Funstock have not cancelled it or responded to my cancellation request.
They have taken the money however..

Going to leave it at that for now, chase them in a couple of weeks if we are no closer to a release.

I want a couple of other bits now too.. I will collect as many carts as I can, but need one of the devices to play the ones never released etc

Doesn't matter, use your old controllers.
You can even use a single controller for all systems. Just emulation at the end of the day

I want one, dont get me wrong. They have also announced that it will come with the adapter to use Master System Games on it too.
But I am not happy with a company holding onto my cash for that long, especially when they might not get enough, it might be delayed again etc...

Called them and they are refunding. Seem fine.

I asked them if they are only getting enough in for Pre-Orders or some extra to sell. They advised they will be getting some for the site as well as the pre-orders so I just need to make sure, once 10th Decemebr is set in Gold, that I get another order in.

I'm new to this forum & I'm very interested in getting one of these. I can't wait to stick my old NES cartridges in this & play them again. Also I noticed that there is a USB slot at the back - I wonder what can be done with that ;D

PS. Belial, I also purchased a Neo Geo X - thought it would be better but still happy with it

I've just read that it's been delayed to q1 2014 now due to some manufacturing problem with some pins. I've had no word from funstock to confirm this on my preorder yet though.

According to Hyperkin, the release was delayed due to faulty pins discovered in some packages and needed key modifications. ”We apologize for the inconvenience,” In a statement prepared by Lawrence Lee the project manager. ”Hyperkin would like to thank you for all the support you have given us throughout the development of the RetroN 5. We are looking forward to its release, estimated to be within the first quarter of 2014, as soon as the issue has been resolved.”

I chased funstock about this today, according to them it's now due out April/May. They offered me a refund but i'd rather wait for it to appear
