Default I have been ripped off, What would you do?

    afternoon all

    Long story short

I seen a communications receivor on ebay, chap had his number on the listing.

    Radio advertised as working 100%

I give him a call asked if he pull it and take bank transfer, before anyone bits?

He seemed like a nice helpful bloke and agreed.

I paid 150 for radio and 30 quid for next day special.

This was on a sunday, I done a bank transfer right away and kept him up to date.

he sent me a text at 8.35 am on Monday morning, saying I let him down as the money was not in the account.

I informed him its a bank transfer and should be in late afternoon.

Got a further text to say money received and radio posted

never received it following day, infact never got it to Fri, he sent it snail mail

was I shocked when the bird in the post office give me such a large box....three foot long for a radio that is app 11 inch in size

The clown popped the radio in the box with the mains cable and plug, with no packaging at all

in return the radio was sliding back and forth in the box and the radio was dented, due to plug had lodged its self in the base of the radio.

Radio powers up for several min and then powers off, screen down work, and the antenna socket is broke, as he used wrong antenna plug.

    I called him
he said it was fine when he posted it and not his fault, says I need claim of parcel force.

I told him i was going return it for a refund.

he hung up and has blocked my number, refuses to take calls

I looked at his feed back and he has stung another chap with a faulty mother bike engine

in short what would you buys do?

Can i post his name address and number along with his ebay details, on here, so you guys can have some fun

if there is anyone on here that could be close by, swing round and shit on his door step lol

I spoke to my credit card and they going look at getting my funds back

though what happens if he never has funds in his account, as he seemed like he was rather poor as well as a common theif

any advise at all would be good

    Thank you all

You say you paid by BT but are contacting your CC company? Was it a BT via your CC done online? or a normal BT?

You are unable to claim off of Parcel Force as he had the contract with them and it would be down to him to claim. You will need to get him to do this but as he has stopped contact, unlikely to happen and if sent normal parcel prob not covered to the amount (Cant remember the limit). Only option available to you at present is possibly an LBA but if he is a shyster and done someone else then he will prob ignore that too. Dont see the value in a MCOL based on the amount concerned and think you might need to chalk this up to experience. If you had of bought through ebay and this was the result it would have been found in your favour as the buyer, shouldn't go outside ebay for this exact reason

Not good. But out of interest, why did you just not put in your top bid and wait? You could have had comeback then in different ways.

I remember about 15 years ago sat in the back of a friend of a friends car on the way to Sheffield... I looked down at my feet and saw some rope, a hacksaw and a calculator with 'help' written on the back of it in tippex.....
I assumed the rope was to tie up his victims, the hacksaw to dismember them and the calculator was used to keep a tally of his dastardly deeds... true story lol

So many douchebags try to buy ebay auction items outiside of ebay that anyone willing to accept such offers obviously don't know what they're doing and aren't worth dealing with.

I remember not too long ago being stung not by eBay but someone on this very forum.
I say post his region midlands etc and any members that feel like helping can PM you.

I live in Glasgow and was very nearly driving to Manchester to see the member from here that had done me out of £100

I'm sure he will get what's coming to him
