Sounds like you are using a corrupted image of the windows installer or the hard drive is knackered mate. Can you download windows 7 from the clean sources posted on here in the windows 7 section sticky and try that?

    Thanks to evilsatan

Checking the hard drive for errors is also worth a shot. Usually, if you know the manufacturer of the hard drive, you can get programs that you can boot from and check the drive for any errors.

Insert Windows DVD, boot to that DVD and follow the instructrions to install Win 7. When you are presented with the HDD partitions you can delete all of them, click the unpartitioned space and click next and it will install the OS for you. The problem may be a partition was left for FreeDOS, delete them all and try that.

My machine at work had FreeDOS on it. I just removed it completely but doing what evilsatan mentioned above. Do that first and try installing Windows.

    Thanks to n00bz0rd2

Click the partition then click delete at the bottom, do this for both partitions so there is just one item in the list that says unpartitioned space, click on this then click next and Windows will do the rest for you mate.

    Thanks to evilsatan

Use Slimdrivers or Driverupdater and it should find you the required drivers mate. Windows loader by Daz was a good activator, assume it still is.
