W211 launch scan interpretation please.

Hi guys I have paid for a scan from a friend of a friend and have some codes.

The car is showing 6 malfunctions on the dash and ABS light lit on the dash.

ABS defective visit workshop
Brake defective visit workshop
ESP defective visit workshop
Cornering headlight

The car was scanned using Launch and the findings are as follows:

Any help on the interpretation of these fault codes is greatly appreciated

You paid for a mechanic to diagnose your car and he just dumped you with these fault codes?

The launch is a pretty good piece of kit and I'm sure it should have given a description as well.

I drive a mercedes. My warranty ran out last month and I will be taking my car to an independent from now on. They are cheaper than Mercedes Benz and their performance is superior too. I have been getting my car serviced at the specialist as they do more for you and the cost was 50% cheaper. If I had a problem, it's where I'd take it.

If you are anywhere near me, I know a good one in NW London and another highly rated one down Portsmouth way.

I have got the print out with descriptions but did type them thing it was a fault that it is unique to Merc. Is there a website that lists all the fault codes?

I was also thing that an experienced user would know the faults.

Thank for the offer of specialist but it's out of my reach as I'm in Burnley. If the is an experienced local please advise.

Gary Warburton over in Fleetwood is supposed to be good.....

Ian Walker - 123works is good and somewhere near Kirkham but lost touch with him as got rid of my last Merc years ago, can probably be found on mbclub.co.uk.

One I recognise is the C249F - brake pedal has been pressed too many times killing the SBC. You need to find someone local to you with Star Diagnostic machine with developer mode in order to reset the counter in the SBC.

Needs to have developer mode enabled. Can't remember off the top of my head but I remember the first menu was named totally different to the instructions, and I think one or two settings were named slightly different.

Is there a step by step guide on how to reset the counter on the W211 abs pump of Mercedes using the Star DAS Xentry 05/2013?

The version of instructions with German headings don't match the headings on my software.

Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated.

The instructions are actually quite old but I did this just the other day on a W211 using 9/2013. (That was actually my second bash at that car because I only left it running 5 mins first time round and the error came back). Trust me they will be there if you have developer mode but the menus listed to actually get into the right bit had totally different names on mine.

I didn't bother clearing the code before doing it because every time I cleared the code and power cycled the car, the mux would turn off for a split second because I had no batteries in there. This would then mean the sw would loose connection to mux so I had to ctrl-alt-del, shut DAS then start again. Once I had left it running, the fault still appeared as current and stored, then I cleared it and it never came back.

If you look around the net, the only sets of instructions you will find will be the exact same one I posted without my notes in green.

Edit: Just to make sure you are going to the right bit, when you are presented with quick test, control units, etc, go into control units, chassis (I think), then SBC, then Development Data (or something like that).

I did go to development data in SBC and didn't see nothing obvious. Unfortunately I don't even know the tree structure of the menus. This would help a lot also.

A detailed guide or video would really help
