    Default halogen ovens

think this is the correct place put this.

I have had a tefal actifry for the past couple of years and its looking like its ready to give up the ghost.

I was looking at these halogen ovens but was wondering about making chips in it of spicy roast potatoes. would need to have enough room to cook for a family of 4. can anyone recommend one?

Are you meaning the ones that just sit on the worktop?
We have a halogen oven and always makes the likes of chips in them. They are always evenly cooked and taste great. The fact that it doesn't need preheating too is a plus, so you're not waiting around for ages. You can do other things like bake cakes too. Although I must admit I've not tried that.
I really like ours and must admit, since getting one, our other conventional oven is hardly ever on now (well except the occasion at Christmas where my mums get a turkey that seems to be the size to feed 1000 people)

    Thanks to Karoline

It can fit around 3/4 portions (depending on portion size) I would say, if you are cooking chips then if you use one of the trays that come with it then they are spread equally.

    Thanks to Karoline
