i just want to know if it just hunts for pins of if it can crack WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, looks like it does all security types as long as they are WPS enabled.

Dude just download the latest Backtrack / Kali as the software is on there i think for free.

It definitely works, but tbh a lot of firmwares turned off WPS or fixed the way that this worked.

I did hack a few around home just for testing, haven't tried it in a year though!

It doesn't brute force WPA / WPA2, basically all that happens is that it tries to brute force the WPS key - basically it's 8 digits but in two groups of 4, and the last number is actually a check digit. The algorithm tells you when half is correct, so once it has half it just nails the other.

Once you have the correct WPS key the router just sends over the actual WPA / WPA2 code in plaintext which is how this works

Screw it, given it a shot, worth it for pen testing.

yeah I have reaver and some other similar apps like beini but I always had problems with my chipsets where it would work one minute and not the next. Would be interesting to see one of these AIO devices as they are half price today.

got mine delivered earlier in the week and couldn't get into my neighbors BT-Hub3
also the Virgin SuperHub locks you out for 60 seconds after 3 unsuccessful pin attempts, so it's gonna take ages but i've also read that this hack will not work on them.

Unless there has been a firmware update to the bt hubs recently I tried this against my router using reaver on backtrack and it found the pin then password in just 5 hours. This was only last month. Not sure about vermin hubs.

I have only had a 5 minute play but home hub 2 devices are greyed out, I tried to attach my draytek and it kept failing on the first pin, I think my draytek has protection. I have loads of different routers here so when I get time will be trying some more.

I don't but I will be looking forward to some spare time to give it a whirl, glad you had it working. Just hope that not too many APs have been patched as the WPS vuln was discovered some time ago now.
