Advice Chrome books are they any good?

I was in pcworld looking at the chrome book and I was pretty impressed for £199.
the only thing putting me off is the lack of programs, for example you can't install iTunes so how could I sync my iphone ?

i understand google docs is an alternative to office.
Does anyone own one and what are your reviews on one?

I really like OpenOffice which I think works on Chrome. . .
    If at first you don't succeed.....redefine success. . . .

Don't forget there are vouchers around to knock a further 10 or 20 quid of the price depending on where you buy it.

Chromebooks are all about apps in the browser.

If your going through an airport sometime soon there 179 in Dixon's airside or 199 for a 3g version

I use a chromebook (Samsung ARM) as my main laptop and have done for a year. They are pretty much hassle free (unless you run beta/dev version of chromeOS).

I dont use any apple products any longer, so dont need to worry about iTunes. I use Google Music and store all my music in the cloud. Can then access it on any browser, across any device. You can do the same with your iTunes music too I believe.

Edit: Just found this which covers how to move your iTunes library into the cloud.
