I just read a couple of Lenovo community threads and they said you have to upgrade the case to fit a new PSU. Not sure if your PSU conforms to a standard, if it does just find out the standard and look on Scan or eBuyer.
if your not in a hurry, i can look at work for you in January. our whole IT estate is Lenovo M58 - M93 and one of those might fit.
Wow. 6 years with 5 posts. Must be Christmas!
This system is the same as some older Dells or HPs. Manufacturers create proprietary systems so that parts are only available from the manufacturer. If you only have a 250w PSU, the system was never really meant for upgrading and is likely just a standard workstation, if you want something to fit in that case, you will probably only get such things from Lenovo directly. For anything with a bit of backbone, as evilsatan suggests, you could try and fit the parts into another case and use a higher spec PSU, but I reckon if you do this, you'll find other parts inside that will not fit correctly too.
I tried to fit a Dell Optiplex GX520 into a generic case quite a few years back. Leads and cables would not reach or had peculiar sockets and/or plugs on the motherboard.
Good luck and see you next year for your response.

lol at least I'm here that's the main thing. i was thinking about a bigger case cos it's not a bad set up, i5 8g ram ect but could really do with a graphics card. managed to put a gt210 in but it's not brought much to the pc really.

having looked inside i noticed the psu was not of the norm, looks bout the size of a box of after 8 mints. that alone i imagine would mean no upgrade. had a look on lenovos website and they don't mention any upgrade either, i suppose i'm left with 3 options.
1/sell the computer - not what i wanted to do
2/upgrade the case - but as previously mentioned thats not straight forward either.
3/keep it and save cash up for another - i can't justify having 2pcs though.
serves me right for jumping in. thanks any way.
bodman if you wouldn't mind checking those you have i would appreciate it thanks
