In the new year shits getting serious lol, so I'm hiring a personal trainer. What should I look for in a personal trainer?

Initially i would think a woman, but realistically would go male. Hes going to have the same anatomy as you and will be more aware of your needs.

Someone that you have a good rapport with and that can push you when needed but knows your limits. Why not join one of those bootcamp ones, you will have the advantage of a trainer plus very likely to have some eye candy there.

Also can give you a competitive/motivational edge when with others, plus would be cheaper.

Good idea with the boot camp. I'm looking at joining a crossfit group in the new year. I used to do 300 training a few years ago and really enjoyed it. If you definitely want a PT and are at a gym I'd watch them training others first some I've seen are fucking terrible and just don't look interested. Plus you need to think about what you like to do and get them to tailor your plan that way.

make sure they are qualified, else you'll get someone that could cause you more harm than good
