    Yes mate that's the one.

But you'll need one of these to convert to female for the back of the Skybox

    Thanks to kroner

I have found that those cheap USB to serial converters never work, although you may be lucky. You need a converter with a Prolific PL2303HXD revision D chipset, along with a null modem cable. I have used this one myself. It automatically updates & installs the drivers when you plug it into a Windows 7 pc:-

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3015087678...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1112286796...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

You cannot use a gender changer, as the wires need to be crossed over between the adapter & box via the null modem cable. The gender changer will not do this. It will simply change the plug to a socket without crossing the wires.

Members on other forums have also had success with this "all-in-one" lead :-

    Thanks to fossil

    Having issues with this.

Running the recovery software, COM port via USB is OK, file starts downloading, I then click next to install this, and it says it was done OK and click finish.

Clicked finish box reboots and goes to 095, then to 100 and then starts the boot cycle over again.

Should I try installing it with clone FW?
