    Help Microsoft office connector help

    Hi all,

Looking for some advice re an issue I have when trying to open up outlook I am getting the error message:

"cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file C:\users\aoodata\local\microsfot\outlook\username_hotmail.ost cannot be found.

Operating system is win 7 ultimate
Originally happened in office 2007 but I upgraded to 2013 but still get same issue.

    What I have tried:
    Unistalled from program and features
Clicked on the fixit from microsoft and made no diff
Uninstalled outlook connecter from program and features
Reinstalled office after doing the 2 uninstalls and that never got rid of issue.
    Outlook.exe /resetnavpane
Tried to use another profile to see if its just something related to my profile and can confirm that it is profile related as outlook opens in another profile on same pc.

    Anyone able to help?

    Thanks in advance

Default Re: Microsoft office connector help

Ok found the solution so thought I would put it here in case anyone else suffers the same issue and has the same nightmare that I did trying to get it working.

Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Switch to Classic View if you are using Windows XP or higher versions.
    Double-click Mail.
In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles.
Select one of the incorrect profile in the list and click Remove to remove it.
Repeat until all incorrect profiles have been removed.
Click Add to create a new profile and add email accounts according to their types.
Start Outlook, you will find the problem disappear.

That solved the issue for me, when I tried to search for the .ost file it was not there and could not be found hence the error but every solution I was reading was relating to the .pst which was obviously not what I was looking for.

Anyway happy new year to all and if it helps someone else then that is cool.
