Help Streaming video from HP N54L and WD MyBookWorld to Samsung smart TV

Just bought a Samsung UE40F6670SB TV. Can see my HP N54L server and my Western Digital MyBookWorld network drive on the network but the TV cant see any shared folders and find any videos, music or images. Do I need to have any additional software on the HP server and how do I get the TV to see the folders on the network drive. I have most of my movies and TV stuff in subfolders below the \MYBOOKWORLD\PUBLIC folder.

Read a bit about DLNA server after a search on google. The MyBookWorld is about three years old, its the one with the white light. I have read that it should have DLNA support. Any ideas how to set it up? What about the N54L running Microsoft Home Server 2011. What else do I need? (">

You will most likely need to setup a DLNA server from the PC mate but im not sure how you would do it on a server OS
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

Yeah you need to install Plex or something, I personally use Mezzmo as this gives you a whitelist of devices that can see your Media so if you let your friend on your wifi he cant go browsing all your photos or even worse your porn ;-)

    Thanks to akimba

Samsung smart tvs have Plex available as an app. Run plex server on your n54l and point it at your media. Plex also works as a DNLA server.

    Thanks to beerman

Thanks for the info. Seeing as Samsung supports Plex I will give that a go first. Have just downloaded Plex for Windows. From what I have read it should install fine on Home Server 2011. Going to move all my media from the WD MyBookWorld network drive to the HP Microserver to make life easier. Will just use the WD network drive which is remotely located in the garage as additional backup for irreplaceable files like photos, etc. (">
