sick Happy days, email from Virgin.....

    Just for sent this...>

Your broadband will go from up to 120Mb to up to 152Mb

Great news. You're already with the UK's Best Broadband Provider, as voted by uSwitch, and we're making things even better by bringing you even faster speeds. You'll be upgraded to up to 152Mb, our fastest available speed. What's more, it's on the house. You don't need to do anything right now, we'll keep you posted and will be in touch when your upgrade is ready.

    152Mb....

Great news, we'll be throttling you even quicker now.

Edit: I've got to wait between August 2014 and January 2015

Mine is between April and June... Looks like it will be useless for any big downloads before 11pm so might have to put some timings in on SickBeard

If it's 150mb and they throttle it to half speed that's still fast enough.

sometime between july and december for my 152 upgrade. cant really complain about the service to the honest i havent noticed any major throttling but even a throttled 120mb connection is better than most non-virgin connections
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

How much faster can BT go on FTTC, isn't the copper from the cabinet a problem?

They can push the current FTTC kit to a theoretical 200Mps when they can enable the 30a profile some info http://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php...s-bt-fttc.html only problem is those lucky to be on a ECI cab will probably get the upgrade first as a believe no new kit is needed those on Huwawei CAB need up graded line cards

I had my infinity installed last week and I was speaking to the engineer who said they're starting an upto 300mb service rollout although it's in the early stages. He also mentioned it would be fibre direct to your home so no copper required.

My internet speed sucks. In my area Virgin have a monopoly of the fiber network so companies like BT can only offer up to 10Mb/s speeds. Need to get me some of that 1.4Tb/s... lol

Virgin have their own, long standing fibre network, BT are crap because they were late to the party and have a copper network with fibre bolt on's....
