    Info help finding correct fuse/part

    ive just checked my tomtom and its showing a green light when charging but will not turn on, when ive stripped the unit down the fuse labelled D5 has blown. does anyone know a quick fix or even replacement part for this

    just to let you know what happened, I bought a stand alone charger from ebay and tried charging it up last night and it blew the fooking fuse.

    Is it solder onto the main PCB or is it in a fuse holder?
    Search rs rs for "smd fuses" it possibly something like this, any markings on the device?

    yes its on the pcb near the usb port, it has D5 underneath it

    its fried m8 but ive found the replacement part - only problem is that I have to buy 150 of them :/

    It's a diode mate , if it was a type of fuse it would most likely be marked fb on the board for ferrite bead .
    Have you tried removing it and trying to power it up ?

    yes m8 ive cleaned it up and removed the damaged diode and it still does not turn on - green light.
    ill get the part ordered and let you know if that works ok
