Info Sony Gold 2.0 headset for PS4.

Well i bit the bullet and bought one of the new Sony headsets for the PS4. Been quite excited to get hold of this and will leave my thoughts on it later on today. Has anybody else bought or is thinking of buying one?

Bit of a cunt I have the sennheiser HD650's which can't really be used for gaming so 2 sets of cans at £250 ish each

Highly recommend the Astro headset well worth the outlay

Why cant the 650's be used for gaming, surely you just need to add a mic and you have the perfect setup?

Well i've had a play for a few hours last night and also today and i'm really impressed. Just so you know i've never owned a headset before so i have nothing to compare it with but i'm very happy with my headset.
I was a bit worried after reading a few reviews that it would feel cheap and flimsy but overall it feels quite solid and well made. The only thing that might wear out or snap if sat on are the hinges for folding away but if you are careful with them they should last you.
The companion app i downloaded from the PS store was really simple to use and making your own sound set-up for games, movies or music is really easy. Then on to the sound, i was playing BF4 and the difference in immersion level is crazy. It is so much better with the headphones my mates were laughing at me because i was making grunts and crazy breathing noises while playing (as they were sat next to me but couldn't hear what i was).
I also had my sound setting on the app to shooting games so it had more bass which made the weapons, vehicles and explosions a lot meatier and a lot more distinguishable from other sounds.
As i have said i have never played with another headset so nothing to compare it to but for £90 i am very happy.

Acording to ther website grainger games will be selling it for £79 later this week which is a bargain.

I got mine from Amazon for £73.

I have also never used any before and think these are spot on.

Not very loud but im not sure why people would want them so loud to play computer games with
