2:05 Sandown – E.B.F. William Hill N.H. Novices’ Handicap Hurdle
GONE TOO FAR has taken well to hurdles, winning impressively on his debut, before finishing second to the useful Garde La Victoire. The Alan King yard had well documented problems during the winter, so it was encouraging to see him come back and run a fair race to finish third to Supreme Novices’ Hurdle bound Vaniteux at Doncaster. A rating of just 125 looks fair and he could be really competitive in this with the aid of McCoy in the saddle.
3:15 Sandown – William Hill Imperial Cup
REGAL ENCORE was a top class bumper horse last season, winning his first two starts prior to finishing second in the Weatherbys Champion bumper at Cheltenham. He has run just three times over hurdles and has been kept fresh for this target and connections also did not want to run him again in case his rating went up. All in all he looks well handicapped off 130 and it is easy to see him running a very big race.
