If it is a 'Free Gift' then why do the boxes cost �50 extra?

Often is the case that you provide a service (channel updates for example), it coincides with your marine mammal running away and the channel update source gets the blame.
I remember back in the day when I created the Installer disc (no PC needed) for the Evolution X dashboard on the original Xbox. One idiot, not from here, did not follow the simple instructions and half bricked his machine. He then wanted compensation.. A couple of harsh words of warning to him and I never heard anything again..

A lot of people buying these boxes hope they are plug and play and have no idea how they work and have no intention of learning if they dont need to. As far as I was aware the 12 month gift was/is a well known scan and is flagged with a search through google. The sellers of these boxes are the ones who are looking to make as much as possible in a short spell and their antics are the ones that will ensure Sly do something about it sooner rather than later. As mentioned earlier they are all over FB and make no attempt to hide the fact they are selling Sly cheap.

I read something totally bizarre in that NDS was actually sold by Sky to Cisco who now own it - but there are other exploits in the system that Sky knew about but didn't pass on to Cisco. Maybe it's so that other competitors will license flawed technology from NDS now which Sky have / will shut the loophole on down the road?
