Which in turn killed off the CD32

I had a CD32 and loved it (been trying to grab one off eBay recently). Ridge Racer and a load of other games were announced before Sony pulled the carpet from under the feet and killed them off.

    See the article

Yep, eventually turned into the Playstation and to be fair, the Copy Protection on the discs themselves held up fairly well (i.e. you cant just 1:1 duplicate the discs) regardless of other methods used

however im assuming that Nintendo's side of the optical disc protection was enhanced and eventually turned into the GameCube and Wii optical discs form of protection, using BCA and custom layout etc.

A few years back I sold (one of many) a Gamecube and every Resi game with it The Resi series is the only series I have played and finished every main game on on the major systems.
Kicking myself now.. Looking on ebay trying to buy the games I used to own and some of them are in the hundreds of ££££'s

yep, they are going up all the time, i sold my entire collection for £2,500 so not too bad but could have maybe got £4,000+ if i had sold each piece individually but would have taken me years to get rid of it all, everything i sold was gone within 1 month and had cash in hand, im getting into my arcade stuff now, just got an MVS board and been messing around with the multicarts etc. and im in the process of consolising one

    excuse the bad picture

I've got an original Cab in my boys room but always wanted one connected to my TV, that kit seems ok to me, i have my friend working on a couple at the moment and we have had a delivery of the buttons and jamma harness' so were well on the way, amazing how much fun it is playing all these old games on a big chunky controller is compared to emulating it, btw theose controllers on the pic are nothing like what the finished article will look like, just my quick bit of messing about

I remember doing that just so I could play the jap version of Resident Evil (Biohazard), it was one hell of game with jap writing but at least the cut scenes were in English.

Yep that is the game I first played it with too! Game was epic, proper jump out of your skin scenes and quality B Movie acting.

Question on the Mega CD 2 etc.. I am going to hook it up tonight to test but I bought it with 1 power supply. Do you need 2 in order to use it or will one power it (if plugged into the CD dock)?

Isn't it a power supply per unit for the mega drive/mega cd?

As promised Goldberg, a bit of a British flavour retro, not as polished as the American ones but pretty good.

Another great web series I am loving is The Game Chasers. Love the banter between Billy and Jay and wish picking up retro games in the UK was this cheap and easy.

Wait til you get further in, some of the pickups are insane, seeing the documentary that came with Season 1 DVD it seems they are genuine guys as well
