    Default OpenVIX Zeus released

I just picked up an XP1000 from eBay and saw that there is a new major release out called Zeus!

I'm just upgrading now and running through ABM etc - not bad timing to get a brand new official release though

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]!

Proudly introduces a brand new ViX image for all OpenViX supported receivers.

OpenViX Zeus requires a full reflash. You cannot update from OpenViX 3.0 or use a settings backup from any image prior to OpenViX Zeus. We have coded it so that you can't use a backup from an earlier image as it will cause issues if you do.

So what is different in OpenViX Zeus then ?

The main difference is core of the image or the OE (Open Embedded); this has undergone a lot of changes, updates and fixes. As a user you should not notice any differences between OpenViX 3.0 and OpenViX Zeus. (i.e. there are no real functional differences. But as the last release is now over 3 months ago, several updates have been implemented).

    Known issues

    • Crossepg bug when running XEPGDB and XMLTV within Crossepg. The software will not successfully download data from these sources due to incompatibility of crossepg and newer libraries within OE2.
