Your thoughts of the Pistorious Trial ??????????

As I'm sure your all aware the Oscar Pistorious trial has been going on for 3 weeks now and like many I have been keeping my eye on it with some interest....

Before trial started based on what I had read / listened to I thought it seemed like a clear manslaughter case and accepted his intruder argument but now,

Not so sure... recent evidence seems to portray him as a paranoid jealous, controlling bully !!! Now obviously so far has been prosecution and defense may come along and disprove much
of what I have heard but just wondered what any of you lot thought.......

I've not been keeping up on the finer details of the case, It seemed to become a bit of a farce when the images of Reeva Steenkamp's body were accidentally shown in court.... I look at it this way, if he is acquitted, then it will give a green light to every wife, husband, girlfriend and boyfriend in South Africa to blow their partners away in the middle of the night when they go for a slash. Common sense would dictate that the South African judicial system would not set this precedent...

Agree.... got a close friend who is South African.... he reckons he has seen this hundreds of times but this time it is someone famous....
He said if it is Manslaughter he most likely wont even do time... just have a record !!!! WTF

My thoughts were that they had an argument and hes shot her though the door - the blinding bit of evidence for me that no one else seems to be noticing is: if she had got up from her boyfriends bed though the night to go the toilet - why had she locked herself in there? - how many of you lock the toilet door in the middle of the night when your at home alone with your wife/girlfriend? Im lucky if my girlfriend even the closes the door!
Some kind of arguments happened and she ran in there and locked herself in and hes lost it and fired through the door maybe not truly intending to kill her but he knew it was her inside - well that's my thoughts anyway.

Even if the door was locked if there was a burglar in there would you not try and kick the door in first? Pun not intended there.
If it was a burglar you would make an attempt to get at the cunt first and not blind shoot, even if the "burglar" got out of the window surely pistorious would catch him up. Whats his excuse for not spotting she was not in bed. I know if was me the mrs would not still be asleep if I was going after someone in the house.

Although I am inclined to agree with you all at the moment.... I have discussed the above point with a friend from South Africa... He immediately said "absolutely not.. You would shoot first ask questions later" he said that is the way it is over there and violence murder is so common that you shoot to kill otherwise you could be the one who is killed

Also unlike over here if you have an intruder in the house and you kill them 9 times out of 10 you are not even arrested...
If they are in your grounds and you kill them they must have a weapon in their hand, so after shooting them the shooter will often put a screwdriver in victims hand e.t.c

OK I can live with that explanation about the final moments, but I don't get how he'd not notice she was gone, even an instinctive check as your half way out the door gun in hand that there is an intruder and she is still OK and asleep. Surely he would have done that at some level which would maybe reigned in the shoot first instinct, a shout, a warning shot anything to determine it wasn't her.

He is an insecure cry baby. He won't be able to run in prison.. I would like to start the sweep that he has Aids, the bad Aids, within 2 years of prison life.
