    Wanker eBay knob

Was bidding on a bundle of SNES games. Stuck a cheeky 99p bid in and I was winning all the way.
At the last minute my bid was retracted and the listing cancelled as 'an error in the listing'

What a complete cunt... The item was [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Problem I see is that I have no way to report the actions of this tool. He/She never put images or a list up so I knew it was a gamble but the size of the bundle was worth it.
I have reported it as a fraudulent item, it won't achieve anything but I could not let it go.

I am sure there is a website that you can post these knobs onto.

You almost got a bargain, but didn't. Just let it go and move on. Life's too short - lol!

I have grabbed some absolute bargains recently.

I go looking for listings where they advertise as Famicom and not SNES, spelling mistakes, bundling in items and not really describing correctly.
For example I got a Passport 3 and Pilotwings (Jap) for the N64 for roughly £8... The Pilotwings was in the image but described as a 'game'

Your best bet these days is FaceBook if you are on it. . . .at least people you know won't get caught. It's par for the course on eBay now though, just report him and hope for the best. .

I don't think an auction can be withdrawn because it's not going the sellers way, he should have put a reserve on it.

Totally agree. There's nothin' wrong with wanting a fair price. It's what the Buy, Sell & Trade section on DF is all about.

That's not how an auction works though.

If you don't want to sell it for pennies, you pay to set a reserve.

Hence eBay t&c's that you can't just pull out for no reason. (Shame they don't actually enforce this).

I once sold a rolling shell of a Peugeot 406 coupe with some interior, all wiring, working auto gearbox and a dead engine on eBay for £0.01. The bidder even messaged me to say he could understand if I wouldn't let it go for a penny - I told him he won it fair and square, but he had better bring a nice shiny penny, not a manky old one.

10 Thanks given to Over Carl

Just what I said but it costs extra so people don't do it, I almost always use reserve and or buy now, unfortunately too many people are devoid of ethics.

I wouldn't worry. Karma has a funny way of working.. I have just somehow managed to convince some stupid cunt to swap me a Sega Dreamcast for an Onlive console that probably does not work! A straight swap!

There was a shooter in the drive that is worth about £130 if it is original! I only glanced at it this morning.

It's properly dirty, pubes in the fan etc.. Might have to be binned but I do think I have got the better deal out of it.
