3:40 Stratford – Bordeaux Undiscovered Claret Handicap Hurdle


VULCANITE has dropped to a very handy mark now and I am happy to take a chance that he will bounce back to form here. Just three runs back he was running off 142, yet is off 129 here and the better ground may also suit. I also think that Stratford will suit him. It is worth remembering he was very impressive in winning off 134 on good ground at Fakenham and as a novice he ran well against Montbazon who was placed at Cheltenham two weeks ago off a mark of 140.


4:35 Navan – Webster Cup Steeplechase




There may be just four runners but this looks a cracking contest. The ground will be testing but that will suit BOG WARRIOR just fine. He has had two runs since his return from injury and ran below form both times, but this trip will suit and he should be able to dominate this small field. He is very classy on his day and receives weight from all and with all of those opponents also having question marks against them, I will take a chance on him to bounce back and make all.
