Garden was over run with Wolf Spiders yesterday (probably the same today). Of course as usual, they don't stay still the second you come anywhere near them so they're tricky to photograph. Managed two of one that was taking a quick rest.

Mystical, they have 8 eyes. If you have a look at the wolfy here, just below the two big eyes, you have 4 very small ones in a row.

BUT! - 20 or 25 in a 1m sq patch surely means their is a nest? - lets just say if i found the nest at 9am in the morning my house would be on the market by noon!
