    MERSEY NOVICES' HURDLE TRENDS 2014




    The Pertemps Network Mersey Novices’ Hurdle is a grade 1 race run over 2M 4F, which kicks off the Saturday card of the Aintree Festival, 5th April. The race usually sees contenders from the Supreme Novices’ and Neptune Novice Hurdle clash, though this year’s renewal fails to include a single runner from the Neptune.

    LIVERPOOL HURDLE TRENDS 2014




    The Silver Cross Stayer’s Hurdle (Liverpool Hurdle) now takes place on the supporting card of the Grand National, on Saturday 5th April. It was first run in 2004 and was promoted to grade 1 status in 2010. Run over 3 miles and half a furlong, 9 of last 10 winners had run in the World Hurdle on their previous start.
