Forgot about Stella black, awesome beer. If you like Belgium beers then the Lowlander in Covent garden is a great place to go. Often got a lot of weirdos in there but some wicked flavoured beers and incredibly strong ones too.

One of my fave mainstream beers is Lowenbrau but I find that it is so rare to find these days.... slowly disappeared from Shops.. Morrisons was the last to stock it.. gone from them as well now and almost no pubs serve anymore....
Occasionally Makro seem to stock it, but that's about it ;-(
I think a large problem overall is that the Freehouse's are drying up fast.... all the big chain pubs/breweries at least round here pretty much serve all the same typical stuff
Also a fan of an Indian one called
sandy beaches

I like Stella, John smith smooth, but my old favourite is cafreys ( I think thats how its spelt ) but I dont see that so often these days.
TAR seems to be a decent bloke!
Nowadays Stella's my mainstream beer but if Peroni's available then I always go for that over Stella. The only thing that beats Peroni is Samuel Adams or Blue Moon but both of them are pretty hard to find on draft in the UK and are expensive by the bottle.
If none of the above are around then I would go for Efes, Amstel or VB. Becks gives me a raging headache in the morning, Lowenbrau got me into trouble to many times and Castlemaine XXXX and Fosters are a fine example of how to make a bad beer.
So true, they did that to Bud in the late 80's. When it was imported, it was great at 3.5% then they made it over here at 5% and made it taste like pish.
I've been drinking polish beer lately, zuug I think it's called, it has a bull on the front of the green tin, nice rounded beer at 6% most londis shops sell it, and some others.
I STINK GET OVER IT !
We've all done it !!!! Be honest !

Some weak ale I had last month. It made me want a kebab and a taxi.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

For some reason, round my way when you have got lagered/aled up and then decide to get the token kebab.... the kebab shops do not like it when you go in order delivery to your address and then ask for a lift !!!!!
What has happened to doing a good turn for a fellow human being..... He wants my patronage, I want a kebab and a lift home ?????
In Amsterdam I discovered De Koninck and Duvel beers served in the bar we used when working there. When I moved to London I discovered a Belgium bar up an alley in Clerkenwell that sold them which became my second home for a few years.
As for Snecklifter mentioned above. Nice ale, the name comes from the name given to the last few quid in your pocket that will get you in the pub on the basis your mates will get you a few beers once your money has runout. Sneck is a northern term for door latch. So it means money to get you through the pub door !

I'll just stump for a carlsberg, carling or fosters. I do like ales but as said above i can't seem to drink loads of it.
My faves of late, since doing a Belgium trip a few months back (I go every 3 months or so) is def Delerium Tremens. One called "Corn" served in a novelty horn shaped glass in a wood frame was nice. Chimmay Blue and Red are also pretty nice.

You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
Enjoying Veltins when available at the moment and also a few establishments near me have started to stock Brooklyn lager on Tap.
then if they have it I will go for the Meantime Lager.
Aside from that the usual Carling or Fosters to get me through an afternoon out.
We all make mistakes sometimes

At least a few years back (before the Anheuser-Busch deal), InBev's marketing strategy promoted Stella and Beck's as its flagship brands so its distribution networks were set up to push either Stella OR Beck's but rarely both in the same region. Markets have gotten mixed since then, but at one point it was easier to find Beck's in the Americas and Stella in Europe.
A couple of great alternatives to Beck's Dark and Dos Equis Amber in the U.S. are Fat Tire and Yuengling - quite delicious in both bottled and draft form. Generally whenever I find myself over the pond, I go exclusively for the regional craft breweries and am rarely disappointed.
