Default What are your favourite lagers/beers?

I've been working late shift all week and every night me and a couple of colleagues have ventured into town for a few drinks, first night i went along with what they were drinking and had a few pints of Carling, which is £2.20 a pint, but to be honest it tastes like piss water, so on subsequent nights i started trying some premium lagers, which were...

    Stella £3.00 a pint,
    Tuborg £2.40,
    Kronenburg £2.90,
    San Miguel £3.00,
    Heiniken £2.90
    Peroni £4.20 lol

I'm Italian but i'm not being biased when i say the Peroni was best, but not it's £4.20 better, all the others were infinitely better than Carling, by Friday we all agreed Tuborg was the best tasting, and value.

    What are your favourite beers?

Do like beer but find on a night out can't drink much so usually stick to Lager..
Would usually stick with 1664 or Carlsberg Export (not the weak pissy plain Girlsberg)

Recently I stumbled across this http://www.independent.co.uk/extras/...gallery&ino=31
Its a Japanese lager called "Kirin Ichiban" .. I kid you not it is the best draught lager I ever had.... only found the one place selling it on tap which is annoying...
Seriously if you see it anywhere try it, you won't be disappointed.

Also quite like Coors.... or Sol with a lime down the bottle neck

Only 2 lagers I enjoy are Carlsberg & Tuborg, all the others are horrid.

I also really like the Pear & the Mixed Fruits Koppaberg

Never developed a taste for strong beers. If the pub has it I will drink a standard Carlsburg, Carling or Fosters in order of preference and will usually, but not always, add a dash of lemonade. Enjoyed Miller Light when out in the states. It was mild and fresh tasting. It was what everyone there was drinking in Miami at the time.

If driving I will have a couple of John Smiths or bitter shandy's. Larger shandy is bloating but for some reason bitter shandy isn't. (">

I love the extra smooth bitters, in particular 'John Smith's' but if I'm watching football then it has to be a cup of tea otherwise I'll fall asleep.

Love the two jap lagers already mentioned.

    Chang
    Estrella
    Amstel
    Coors
    Millers
    Red Stripe
    Corona
One in Mexico called XX or something like that...
    Loads more I have missed.

I loved desperados when I was younger but now it just tastes like shit beer with citrus/tequila flavouring rather than a good beer.

I avoid lager if possible, and always avoid extra smooth beers. Like a light real ale in the summer - citrusy and hoppy, and a good dark one in winter. Too many to mention, but like I said, my tastes are tailored to the weather.

    Thanks to coin-op
