Handheld Dyson in this house, mainly because of the footprint when storing away. Hangs on the wall in the cupboard where as the old on the floor Dyson took up valuable space where I can now store my Donkey Dwarf Porn.

I am sure Dyson have another one of those '£XX for your old Hoover' deals somewhere at the moment..

Here you go, I think someone else is doing it too: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/dyson-1...140417102241:s

Vacuum cleaners always remind me of this funny sketch from 'Game On' the TV sitcom.

And for some unexplained reason this sketch always reminds me of Goldberg. (">

I have to be honest, the whole thread I have been waiting for someone to comment about Hoovers & Blow Jobs...
    You have satisfied that now

Of course in your neck of the woods you simply slap Honey or Peanut Butter on, no need for Hoovers.

In theory most can be bagless, you will just kill the filter though if it is not washable/replaceable.

One thing I will say about the Dyson's is that they should ship them with two filters. You wash them with cold water and have to wait for them to dry naturally.. This can take a day or two if it is cold. A second one would cost £20!

In typical DF style I have read and took on board all your adivce.

Then, completely went against what you all said and bought one of these:

    http://www.beales.co.uk/559940-panas...leaner-mcul424

Can also claim £40 cashback from Panasonic, and get an extra 5 year warranty for free. (http://promotions.panasonic.co.uk/)

So for £39.99 delivered not a bad choice IMO

so it was a vacuum cleaner you were after and not a Hoover . . . . .

i have had loads and find the industrial style ones are far better than the domestic dyson type shit - have around ten atm will post up model etc when I check

the dysons and such are ok but break real easy - although I reckon if you are a scrubber and only vacuum up every few weeks should be good for a year or so?

    Thanks to prezzy

Are you sure you can claim the 5 year warranty offer AND the £40 cashback offer on the same item. Usually they state one promotional offer per item. When they state in the terms and conditions "only one claim per qualifying product can be made" do they mean you can only claim one £40 cashback which should be obvious anyway, or do they mean you can't use this offer with any other promotional offer such as the 5 year warranty? Still not bad for that price even without the warranty. (">

Edit: Reviews on Amazon are pretty good too. (">

Dunno if I can get both promotions but I think the beales site mentioned 6 year warranty.
Like you say for 40 sheets it's good anyway.

Part of me isn't surprised Prezzy has a selection of industrial vacuums...
