Wanted Fridge Freezer service manual required

Bit of a long shot this, but has anyone got one of those cd's full of manuals for white goods....

I'm looking for a service manual for my Hotpoint FFU00P fridge freezer that's developed a leak.

    Thanks.

Sorry can't help with a manual, but if you get no luck you can usually buy the service manual from Hotpoint. Last time I bought one for a fridge freezer (different model completely) it cost me around £15 + vat which is a lot cheaper than getting an engineer in.

Where/what is the leak? Do you mean refrigerant leak or water from inside the fridge? (">

I think its condensation due to a blocked drain, as I have disconnected the water feed and its still happening. The bottom of the freezer bit fills up with ice and once its about a 1cm deep, then it runs out and under the freezer, where it has nicely ruined the laminate flooring under there. Problem is, I can't figure out how to get in there and find where the drain pipe is to take a look.

Drain gutter and pipe will be just below the evaporator so it catches all the condensate from the evaporator during the auto defrost cycle. Auto defrost freezers will usually have the evaporator behind the internal trim along with a fan to circulate the cold air over the evaporator. If the air circulating vents inside the freezer are on the back wall then the evaporator is behind that back wall. The back wall internal trim will often be held in place by some recessed screws which are hidden by plastic caps.

Although I have never seen any it's quite possible that they have moved on to using push fit clips instead of screws in which case you would need a suction puller to pull the internal trim away once you know where the clips are located. (">

Think I am going to sack it off and get a new one....now, when you press the button for water, it floods out from underneath and nothing reaches the cup.
Its had a good run, its about 10 years old now, and wor lass wants a black one now anyhow (ooer).

That's the user manual which is different to the service manual. The service manual (or engineers manual) will have exploded views of the freezer cabinet and mechanical parts and contain wiring diagrams with resistance readings for thermistors and sensors, etc. Stuff that is considered beyond the scope of the average end user. You obviously didn't realise the difference and took the time to try and help someone. Can't fault that. (">
