    Excellent close ups Paul. It's nice to pull back a little from time to time and show the full insect in its environment. You nailed it mate.

    The big hovers are Eristalis Tenax - not sure if I have photographed them before, but #5 and #7 are two new ones for me.

    #5 is the Xylota segnis and then #7 is the Platycheirus albimanus.

    Good to get some new species on the tick list.

    I think I have a few Tenax, and quite possibly the Platy. Not sure I've got a Xylota though. To be honest, when I upload images to my gallery, I really should tag them. I may actually go through and do that at some point.... hundreds of images in there though lol.

    I still say the 2nd to last one in the second set is Karen Carpenter because it's a skinny bitch and it's on top of the world lol.
