Default Re: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Whats yours?

Gosh, this thread has brought back some memories. Having quashed most of my obsessives, I had a thought about any that have gone unnoticed.

I suppose there's the re-ordering of playing cards. Diamonds are the shittest suit so they are first, then clubs, hearts and spades to the ace, all facing the right way up. Then I reverse the card order two more times to make sure I havent missed anything. But really, that's only when I play cards (which is never).

The sad thing I now do is folding of receipts. All folded using the same pattern and they all end up the same size. But this kind of behavior is comforting, ain't it? NEAT.

...and finally, I keep wiping until there is at least 90% less poo than the first wipe (if I wiped until it was all gone I'd never leave the fucking toilet).

With me the final wipe was when the toilet paper was 100% clean. Could easily end up with a sore arse if I had been to the toilet more than normal on that day. Then I discovered Tesco Luxury Soft fragrance free moist toilet tissue. One wipe with normal tissue to remove the excess then a couple of wipes with moist tissue and I feel really clean afterwards.... and saving quite a bit on toilet paper as well.

Now my girfriend can give me a prostate massage any time because I don't get a sore arse any more. You should try it.... I mean the moist toilet tissue; not my girlfriends finger up your bum. (">

I know what your saying but if you really want the clean feeling my favorite and sometimes used is to sit on the edge of the bath with the arse end hovering over the bath and powerwash the bastard with the shower head.....
Obviously I use loo roll to get the excess of first.. I'm not a cunt !

Loo roll, then onto baby wipes and then loo roll to make absolutely sure..
I even shave the arse hair to prevent winnets as they hurt like buggery when you try to pull them off.

Nope, Philips all over body groom! I do sack, back, crack, under arms and nipples. I have only nicked the ball sack a few times but a bit of E45 sorts it.
It's a bastard when growing back and goes prickly so you have to keep on top of it.

After the fiasco with the crabs from the pr0stitute at Club D'anger in Alicante I do all I can to prevent me catching them again.

In this day and age, the majority of people with OCD are the people who tell you that you have OCD!
For example we all know someone, lets call him John, who when you have done something twice in the presence of he will turn around and say 'You have fucking OCD you do!'

We all have our little things. I used to only eat biscuits (not soggy) in multiple of 3 but the total had to be an even number. I think it was more me being a greedy bastard than OCD though.
I have stopped that now, mainly because I don't eat biscuits any more... But I am not sure that some of the little things can always be classed as OCD... There is a line between OCD and clinically insane. For example the ex mother-in-law has to clean the bathroom every single time from top to bottom when someone has left it. That is not OCD, that is a fucking issue that needs dealing with.

    From the NHS website:

So, just because you have to go back and check the doors are locked or windows closed, that is not OCD but more paranoia.

Another interesting piece from the NHS that explains the difference between OCD and OCPD - most of us will fall into the OCPD category.
It will be OCPD that I have then for sure, despite be having a few OCD traits...

The more serious case is when someone cant see they have a problem but like to advise others on how to deal with theirs. (">

I guess my biggest annoyance is thinking i have every medical condition known to man. Especially when i'm offshore and cant see an actual qualified doctor which is why I end up asking all the gp's and surgeons on here ;- p
