New series "Almost Human"

Has anyone been watching this? Just downloading first two episodes now........

In the future, police officers are partnered with androids, typically called "synthetics" in "Almost Human." The synthetics are incredibly useful in the field, combining fighting abilities with perfect data recording and direct links to computer networks.

They're also emotionless and bound entirely by logic.

For Detective John Kennix (Karl Urban), the synthetics are nothing but a pain in his injured leg. Returning to the force after an extended medical leave, Kennix can't work well with a synthetic until he is partnered with Dorian (Michael Ealy).

Dorian is different -- an older model of synthetic, he was programmed to have all of the emotions and opinions of a human.

It's a match made in buddy-cop heaven.

I've just finished watching episode 1 and 2 and this is now my favourite show. This has some really good actors in it and like Fringe has plenty of specilal affects.

Thanks for the heads up. Watched both episodes and I'm impressed. It's got a touch of Robcop as well as a hint of Blade Runner to it. This might just fill the gap left by Breaking Bad and GOT. Cheers.

I've read a few stories that suggest this is perching on the edge of the cancellation abyss. Think I will give it a miss unless S2 is definitely commissioned.

I've watched the first 6 episodes and just downloaded the 7th ready to watch, I must say it's a great series although I can't see them keeping up with the futuristic ideas that seem to be in every episode.

The series does have similarities with other crime dramas in the way it's set out but I'm enjoying it just because it adds something new in a series for a long time even though there is some wooden acting going on and I'm not talking about the androids.

The reason shows get cancelled is because they are shit. Breaking Bad didn't get canned. Neither did Sopranos. Neither did The Wire.

Just started watching it and we done 4 episodes and think we going to stick with it, it is very JJ Abrams style even tho he not the director just exec producer

Don't think it deserved to be canned after one series but that the americans for you :-(

I was enjoying this. Shame really. It did have potential and viewers ratings were quite high.

I'm devastated. Dorian is probs the best looking guy on the planet. Him and Urban had a very likeable chemistry, even if the plots were a little weak. Shame really.
