    Default Music Magpie

Anyone sent anything in to music magpie?

Just in the process of ripping all my cd's to my pc and thinking about sending them all into them to get a little cash back. Am 150 in out of around 700 atm and have scanned all them in to the website app thing - most are around 30p per cd but they range from there to £3

Anyone used them? do they pay out quickly? do they have stupid levels of quality regarding scratches to the cases and stuff?

99% of mine the cd's are scratch free but some of the cases are bashed up - don't really want to send 700 CD's in to find they say that 400 are not eligible as they do not send any back that do not meet their requirements

I've used them a few times with the app thing and sent off a load of Cd's and DVD's.
The collection service etc is great however the pay out took almost 3 weeks from me sending my stuff away.

Other than that they where good to deal with

Pretty slow at paying a couple of weeks but never had any reject, sent mine in three lots and used the collect+ service as it was easier to take them to the local shop than wait for collection.

Wanna know what Music Magpie does with your CDs?

    Here they all are...

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/estocks/_i....=p4634.c0.m322

Good service, great idea and they must be making a mint.

I sent a fair few to them a couple of months back and just short of a tenner cheque back about a month later.

a mate of mine has used them for years, he has a 2nd hand shop that deals in mainly cd, dvd,blu-ray & books. he sends 400 to 1000 mixed cd/dvd mostly every month.
he buys job lots from boot sales & punter for next to nowt & finding the odd gem along the way.

I guess these £1.27 CD's are the ones you get 30p for so after postage (both ways) etc. it does not seem to much on each one.

Almost ripped all my cd's now so gonna get them sent off in the next week or so - really can't be arsed listing them all on ebay singularly so this seems a good way to go was gonna just skip them all until my mate pointed me to this site.

Warning they do reject/not accept some for being rubbish music so you might have to skip a few.

Tried music magpie when it first came out, scanned all my cd's in and the total cash they offered was a ridiculously low amount so I just ended up selling them on car boot sales

I have looked at selling the hundreds I have on there. Again, was a piss poor amount that they wanted to give me and therefore I am now waiting to find the time to sell them at a Boot sale.

Music magpie prices are ridiculous. I ended up selling as a bulk load on eBay and got a lot more than they were offering. Still not great but I wasn't going to sell them separately.

I just sent 200 to test them out - I should get back £147 which i didn't think was too bad

Also I rang them to see about packaging etc and they said the were not too bothered over cracked cases etc as they will just replace them, wish I had asked before swapping all my cracked ones out for non cracked etc.

I have a load of promo CD's which cannot be sent as they have no bar code on them so will have to bang them on ebay or something
