I have the LG 50LA660V and its awesome. (400mhz compared to your 200mhz) (Didn't see much difference in Currys when I was testing them but wanted the better set.
Smart TV functions are good too, Netflix, lovefilm etc. Just missing PLEX but that's in development.

HD is really crisp and the 3D is really good. Passive glasses too so can use the ones from the cinema (Toshiba set is Active so Glasses are expensive. But if your after some I have 4 from my old/not so old but broke Samsung set that should work with the Toshiba and would be selling on )

Only thing with the 400mhz version is sometimes the pictures look too good. Kinda see everything too crisp ( Video settings need playing with as the missus is moaning it doesn't look right )

Have to agree with Mule, 3D is a fad.
Dont get me wrong some movies are 100% better in 3D but very few are made for 3D.

Now I have seen a movie at the Bradford IMAX and fuck me that's 3D nothing like the tripe we get with our tv's.

Been months since I bothered with the 3D on the tv we have, just get a 55" 60" decent smart tv and goto the flicks for the 3D movies.
Only in Britain….do we use the word “politics” to describe the process of Government. “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking
    creatures”

Avatar is the only movie i have seen than really benefited from 3d. The rest just seem like an afterthought.

    Default 3dTv recommendation

3d never really appealed to me I remember seeing captain eo in Disney early 90's and watched a few 3d films in last couple of years and not enjoyed any of them, I find warring the glasses to distracting and obviously the poorer resolution doesn't appeal either

Even the new 3d sets without glasses don't appeal either I just don't seem to get get / feel the whole 3d experience

Had a go with Samsung active 3d .. Nice 3d but was not to happy with the flicker the glasses seemed to do ..

Do all active glasses flicker slightly

Yep that's the mode of 3D it uses. Each lens shuts off and on so flickers.

    Passive doesn't

I bought an LG last year and the picture quality is excellent on HD and 3D sources. Only just claimed my passes yesterday though haha. I'd recommend the LG. Good price, the smart TV stuff is good and it has a Plex client built in

Was one of the deals that swung it towards the LG for me.
Only got mine a couple of months ago but really like it, picture quality is pretty damn good as is the 3d effect. Picture quality is definitely better after I followed an online guide for the settings

    Thanks to RSV
