    Default Gotham

I predict very bad things... It is a Batman Prequel which Follows Commissioner Gordon before the days of Batman.
It stars Sean Pertwee as Alfred and is due production soon.

Why on Earth would anyone be interested in this? as a drama it's a weak idea and without the Batman tie in a waste of time. . . . Sean Pertwee is OK but not carrying an entire movie!

Completely agree.. Could be one of those 'split' seasons that we see not even make the second half of the season..

Piss poor attempt to sell something on a character that does not even exist but will have people constantly looking for Batman Clues.

It's a "TV Movie" I think but even that is probably a weak way of putting out a Pilot without risk. .

The Director "Danny Cannon" has a lot under his belt but it's almost all series and not movies, and not entire series just one episode of this and that....
Not looking good.. as above look like a thinly disguised pilot

Just watched it now. Pretty shit if I'm honest. Reminds me of that show Arrow which was pretty shit as well.

Don't know what else to say really. Apart from attempting to show us the beginnings of some of Batman's well know enemies (and a couple of friends I suppose) there's not much going for it.

Might give the next episode a go. If I get really bored.

You can't base your opinions on a single episode. Most pilots are shit.... you really do need to give a show 3 or 4 episodes before coming to a decision. If shit ain't got interesting by then...it isn't going to.

I watched the pilot tonight... bit meh, will give it another 3 or so more episodes.

Skewed results but it had 9.1 rating on IMDB yesterday. I have it ready to watch when I have time.

Yeah I only watched Gotham because it was an 8.8 last night and didn't think it was that special - the Leftovers is probably the best new series I've seen this year although it took some getting into. Thought that was rubbish the first time I watched the pilot but gave it another go with the mrs and I got hooked!

I'm sorry but I can, I will and I have. I know IMDB isn't the be all and end all but you watch that rating plummet over the next few weeks. I know what I like and this is not it.

Don't have to apologise to me dude, you don't wanna watch it, don't watch it. It's just my opinion that people should give TV shows a few episodes rather than rely on the bullshit IMDB puts out.

I totally understand where you are coming from and I agree with you to a point. True Detective for example. I wasn't too sure about that at first but I'm bloody glad I stuck with it to the end.

I do however think it is perfectly feasible that someone can watch one episode of something and know that it is not a program they are going to enjoy. It doesn't matter how many episodes of Desperate house wives or Little house on the prairie I watch. I know I'm not going to enjoy it.

Watched the pilot last night with the other half. Production value is very high, a few familiar faces in the cast but other than Sean Pertwee (the saving grace) there really was nothing good that stood out.

Something was off about it. The direction? Yes I think it was the direction. Too many pointless pauses, dragging scenes and no chemistry whatsoever between any of the actors.

Smallville it ain't. Sadly, the pilot was the last episode I'll watch of it.

I only got around to watching the pilot last night, I quite enjoyed it. I think if it's given a chance it will be a worthwhile program.

The last eps has some nice twists in it, overall i think its improving. I hope its not another arrow, watched the whole of season 1, and season 2 started going downhill fast so stopped watching it. As for the flash, the first episode was enough to make my mind up to it being shit
