Skybox remote stopped responding

Can anybody please help? My sky box remote stopped working for some reason, still get the red light when pressing buttons but nothing happens with the box. Tried restarting by unplugging the box, but still no good.

Use your phone camera to prove the IR is still working. Point your camera at the infrared led on the remote and press a button, you should see it light up. Unfortunately I haven't got a similar test to see if the receiver is actually receiving it but it should rule out the remote being faulty.

Most probs batteries or sensor stuffed, as above look at the lens at the end of the control via a camera and see if the lens flashes when buttons pressed.

Also try someone else's remote to eliminate the stb at fault.
