So I work at the University of Bolton as a lecturer (not in SFX or VFX) although I have worked with them.
I knew our students in Visual FX produced some stunning stuff going on to work for animation houses that worked on films like Harry Potter, Inception, Skyfall and the even loftier heights of the Coronation Street tram crash producing stuff like this:



.. but I didn't know much about the SFX model making, set creation, make up effects side of it .. one guy produced this in a project:

erm .. I guess SFX is everywhere even in medicine, I'm sure if it goes into production though she'll make a mint .. with a slight modification perhaps she may even get into the Ann Summers catalogue

Good watching. I used to work for a software house making post production software which included some VFX stuff but mainly restoration and colouring, so I have a huge interest in this stuff.

Moving on from my childishness, I realised that this kind of stuff might actually save someones life in the near future .. and I've had one of them tubes in my schlong and I didn't feel a thing at the time, perhaps the agony from my pancreas at the time numbed it somewhat
