    Default Instant Water Heaters

Due to having shite water pressure in the house we have a gravity system in place with the Water Tank in the loft.
I have a timer to set the water come on each day for what I have worked out is just the right amount of water for the days use.

I am used to Combi Boilers but it is a no no. I am sure that a solution does exist but it is the cost of replacing the current boiler.

So, I was interested to see Screfix had these on offer yesterday for £90 (back to full price now!) http://www.screwfix.com/p/galaxy-gap..._-Hero1-_-DOTD

Has anyone used/got one? If I was to put it in the bathroom, under the bath I guess, would it suffice to provide hot water for the Shower and sink in there or are they a waste of time/expensive to run?

I should add I do not want to fit an electric shower. They are ugly things.

9.5 KW ?????? Fuck me that would be expensive surely......

I suppose it depends how long it is run for at a time.. shower probably not too bad (unless the Mrs likes to spend hours in there), but if you filled a bath it would cane the electric!

Unless I am talking shite, which I often am.... 1kw = 1 Unit of electricity per hour.. so you are talking nearly 10 units of leccy .. find how much you are are paying per unit. times by 9.5 for the cost of an hours use
If I am talking bollox I am sure someone will be along to point it out soon enough

I'd consider something like this for my house. I never have a bath, I mainly heat the water for a shave and that's a waste of a tankful. The kitchen appliances are cold feed and the electric (sorry) shower is spot on. One in the bathroom and one in the kitchen would be fine, however 39C at 4 litres per minute means a bath is out of the question. I can't plot against their data here on my phone but I'd imagine a 60C temperature would be achieved at about 1 litre per minute.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

Granted but you are using it in demand it is more convenient.
If you have showers 1 hour long though, then it's expensive.
