Introduction
Hi everyone, i`m a newby to the forum seeking the help/advice of the enlightened ones in the field of sat boxes, its a subject which like most i`m totally useless at an as i`m the wrong side of 60 my Son calls me Dangerous Dave !,hey!,but when things do`nt work i`ll still have a go at fixing them,unlike my Son who just bins everything.

welcome dangerous Dave. Sadly we live in a world where sometimes it is more economical to replace something all together rather than repair it.
Being an offshore engineer I see this all the time with pumps, motors and valveswhere the company will shell out sometimes thousands of pounds rather than spend a few hundred quid getting it overhauled.

About 3 weeks ago i lost all the channels on my skybox F5 , as my server sub had expired i bought a new one thinking this would solve the issue,however, after loading new server data via usb stick the screen still says no signal and the new server provider says its a channel issue. I do`nt think the box is tuned to the correct sat as in sat menu it says Bskyb France !,i`m in Liverpool and as such would`nt know how to tune this box to the right sat and then when i think back to when the guys who installed in last year,i do`nt know if they had a smart card with them to get this box up and running,its all very frustrating, there is no favourites list or channel menu !,i would very greatly appreciate any help/advice the forum could provide in resolvin these issues,many thanks Dave
