Ipad mini no sound

Kids I pad mini has lost sound. First it was the speaker distorting which then failed and they were using headphones now that has failed as well. Ideas appreciated.

Sounds like could be a number of things faulty headphone jack or speaker can cause the other to play up also but sounds like could be audio processor chip this tends to fail from drop or liquid damage causing the joints to fail on the chip requiring reflow of possibly chip replaced

All of these require complete strip down of the mini and IMO are a complete pain in ass tbh
