Yeah, only read the original thread now.
You might have to go for this version, two wires in each.

Or just solder the wires and plenty of heat shrink.

Those connectors do look handy, however I don't think I have the space for them...

Solder and self amalgamating tape ?
I've ordered 2 of those 2 wire wago connectors to see what they are like... Failing that I'll just use connectors and heat shrink....

If space is the issue, fuck all wrong with soldering them up and heatshrink wrapping them.
I agree those blocks look handy.

Give them a decent twist together & tin them.

This may give you some idea. Also make sure that you end up with a smooth joint with no sharp solder points or wire strands sticking out which could penetrate the heat shrink and short to the lamp tube. (">

As this:
It's because you're so frustrated and sex starved that the word 'penetrate' got your heart racing and in your mind you twisted my sentence to something you could masturbate to, you wanker. (">

Personally I wouldn't recommend just twisting them together, soldering and heat shrinking as this will offer pretty much no mechanical protection if someone was to pull on / trip over the cord. If it was me i would use either the through crimps you have pictured or some good old fashioned connector blocks separated and staggered to fit in the tube. Think you really need some kind of cord grip on there somewhere really.
Also don't wire them in series as per your picture because you'll have the old xmas tree scenario where if one lamp blows they'll all go out. However you could loop in and out of the lampholders as long as the lampholder terminals can take more than one cable.

You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
well the connectors arrived but they are far too big for the tube

Those bulbs give of a fair amount of heat , even though your design should have no problem dealing with this id pay attention to the wire used .. maybe cord insulated as apposed to the plastic to deal with the heat close to the bulb connections ... just a thought

the wire im using is the wire that came with the lights so should be fine.
How you getting on with this? You got the finished article yet? Any pictures of it on?
