    Default Word 2010 - Locking a document.

I've got a document, mainly populated with a series of small tables. Basically, I have to fill in each box with the days progress at work and then print it out so it can be filed for audit purposes. What I want to be able to do is basically lock the template so I can type in each box without resizing the table as I'm typing. I've had a play with editing restrictions but I only seem to be able to lock the whole thing altogether or remove all the tables. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks.

Why not transfer the tables to an excel sheet and set it up the same then protect all the tables except your variable one??
